This research report is about the role of empathy played by Tanzanian secondary school teachers in classroom management, Case study of Nyamagana district. The research is guided by the following specific objectives; to explore the role of empathy played by Tanzanian secondary school teachers in classroom management, to examine the problems facing teachers on not using empathy in classroom management, to determine the causes of lack of teachers’ empathy in the classroom and to find out the ways to be used to improve empathy in the classroom. The research report has been divided into five chapters. Chapter one consist of Introduction. Chapter two consists of literature review Chapter three is made up by the Research methodologies, and Chapter four comprises of research findings and data analysis of data collected in relation to the objective of the study, finally chapter five summary, conclusion and recommendation of the study. In the literature review, different scholars explain the importance of empathy in the classroom, teachers should understand their students how they feel and how they think in order to make good relationship. The researcher used questionnaires and observation for data collection, the findings of the study shows the role of empathy, causes of lack of teacher’s empathy, problem facing teachers when there not using empathy in the classroom management and ways to be used to improve empathy in the classroom.
