This study investigated the factors affecting strategy implementation in Office of the
National Assembly of Tanzania which is headquartered in Dodoma with Sub Offices
in Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam. For this purpose, a number of Research
methodologies were employed to guide the study process. The study involves a
number of literature reviews as well as empirical investigation. The sample selected
were the staff and the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania. In
total the workforce is 260 and the total.
In the light of the study, 31 respondents were selected randomly to fill in the
questionnaire containing the pertinent information on perceived effectiveness,
effective leadership, organizational structure and culture. Therefore the study
employed a mix of secondary and primary to make investigation. The instruments
used to collect were questionnaire, face to face interview schedules, observation
checklist and secondary data.
The study has found that insufficient funding or untimely disbursmiement of funds
from the treasury , absence of good utilization of human resources plan and lack of
effective leadership , poor organizational culture and lack of succession plan
contribute negatively to the strategy implementation in the both public and Private
sectors In Tanzania and National Assembly Office in Particulars.
Based on the findings, the study among other things recommends the following
steps to be undertaken in order to imprive strategy implementation in the office of
the National Assembly, the steps include capacity strengthening to the staff of the
parliament so as to increase their skills and increase of resources to the organization
in order to enable it to perfom effectively
