The main objective of the study is to assess the effectiveness of selling techniques used by construction companies using the case of Nabaki Africa Ltd. Specifically the study aimed at identifying the selling techniques used by Nabaki Africa Ltd Construction Company, finding out how effective these selling techniques are at Nabaki Africa Ltd Construction Company. The last specific objective was to suggest other better techniques for improvement of selling in construction companies.
The data collection methods and tools comprised of questionnaire, interview, and documentary review. A descriptive cross-sectional study was used; sample of 70 respondents was obtained by selecting them basing on convenience and purposiveness.
The answers revealed that there are several selling techniques used by Nabaki Afrika such as study, advertising, offering discounts, product promotions, customer services, SMR and follow ups, E-selling, QUIS -with PIPELINES selling, selling campaign on adverts, quality products referral videos and pictures , discounts on products as an offer, 3rd person validation, up selling and cross selling. However, the company preferred some techniques to others, which yielded best results such as product discounts
The study also revealed that, the selling techniques used at Nabaki Afrika, were effective since they have enabled the company to increase its customer base and made its brand name more plausible. The study concluded that, the company’s sales techniques produce positive results constantly; however, it is upon the company to know which sales techniques to use under which circumstances.
The study recommends that there is the need for the company, to improve in areas where their techniques did not result to positive impact plus seminars and trainings.
