In Tanzania’s dynamic economy, HRM practices are recognized as one of the most important tools in maintaining organizational effectiveness and competitiveness. The purpose of this study was to explore the contribution of motivational packages in promoting workers’ performance at Temeke Municipal Council. Data were collected from 95 respondents who participated in the study. The methodologies used included the use of research approach, that is qualitative approach and quantitative, data collection, methods includes interviews, observation, questionnaire and documentary review.
The study will have practical significance by adding some insight on the contribution of motivational packages in promoting workers’ performance in local governments. Furthermore the study will be useful to the Municipal itself, which can use the findings of the study to improve even further the conditions or issues which workers subscribe to, in order to improve and promote their performance at delivering services to the people in their locality
