dc.description On making sure that workers are protected against hazard environment the Government of Tanzania formed a policy on Occupational health and safety 2009 as well as regulations that is Occupational Health and Safety Act no 5 of 2003, but still the occupational safety among hospital workers in Tanzania is still in danger. The general objective of this study is to analyse to which extent does the SekouToure hospital comply with te requirements stipulated by the regulations and policy on occupational health and safety. The researcher employed a case study research design and thus SekouToure Hospital was a case study in the research. And the sample technic applied in the study were quota sampling as well as purposive sampling. Under the study data collection method applied were primary data collection method as well as secondary, under which the tools used on collection of data were by way of questionnaires, interviews as well as documentary review. After collection of data, the data gathered were analysed by way of quantitative under which tables and figures were used, and also by way of qualitative method as explanation were provided to the data gathered. The findings gathered from the field revealed that, there is a poor compliance to the occupational health and safety regulations as well as policy at SekouToure Hospital. The employees have less knowledge on issues of OHS, as well as the hospital administration have made less efforts on making sure that the issue of OHS is being implemented effectively as required by the law. In order to ensure that workers at the hospital are being protected against all hazards and risks they are facing then, OHS matters have to be taken serious by making sure that laws are well established to ensure that compliance is observed by all organizations. Also the government should ensure that OHS personnel are recruited as many as possible to cover the needs in the organizations.
