This research aimed at finding out the factors that influence women engagement in entrepreneurship and it was conducted in Nyamagana District council. The objectives of the study included, to establish the influence of entrepreneurial skills on women engagement in entrepreneurship, to establish the influence of access to finance on women engagement in entrepreneurial activities and to establish the influence of demographic characteristics on women engagement in entrepreneurship. The study employed descriptive survey as a research design; Data was collected from 95 respondents monitored Questionnaires were used to collect data. Mixed research method was used to collect both qualitative and quantitative data. Descrptive statistics and statistical package for social sciences were used for data analysis
The study indicated that entrepreneurial skills, access to finance and demographic characteristics were the great factors that contribute to women engagement in entrepreneurship activities. It was further noted that most of the women requested that government should give them enough support in doing their entrepreneurial actives by providing programmes on businesses as well as tax reduction. Furthermore social and cultural were other factors influencing women to engaging in entrepreneurship activities. The analysis of the data used the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). More ever in the findings the researcher indicated that the benefits obtained by women entrepreneurs are economic, expand business, trust gained from financial institutions, other benefit women entrepreneur get was to prohibit bud behavior ,personal saving and women entrepreneurs they provide basic needs to their family.
