This research dedicates itself in examining the effectiveness of the Investigation on Criminal Cases in Primary Courts in Tanzania. The research focused on assessing effectiveness of the law governing criminal Investigations in Primary Courts in Tanzania which goes to the root of the title. In additional the research seeks assess competency of Police officers on investigation of Criminal cases in Primary Court. In additional the research seeks in investigate legal effects of non-accomplishment of Investigation of Criminal Cases to citizens.
The researcher conducted his research at Mara Region, as a representation of other place with similar tribulations, the reason is that Mara is a Region where most of criminal cases are reported due to the nature of the people who are living therein and in additional it is connected to the border of Uganda and Kenya hence increase of criminal offences due to integration between the people from different countries.
The research uses different method of data collection. The researcher employs case study design where one area was chosen to represent similar place within Tanzania. Method of data collection such as primary method of data collection using questionnaires and secondary data collection, which includes online sources, manuals and books from different authors, were deployed within this research.
On the part of finding numerous of respondent prove that real problem with investigation done by the Police officers as the investigation’s machinery in the Primary Courts. They further states that the said duty owed by police officers are ineffective due to lack of enough working facilities, bribery, underprivileged transport, poor working conditions, inadequate financial support, and none cooperation between the Citizens and Police officers because they live as enemies.
On the last chapter of the research there is a general remark of the work and recommendation that there should be a change of laws governing investigation in primary courts but improvement of other areas of operation. |
