This research made analysis on the laws relating to eradication of teen pregnancies in Tanzania being the case study on the trend of teen pregnancies Tanzania and its social cause and its effects as the problem concern the whole society at large. And the main question addressed is weather the teen pregnancies in Tanzania only contributed by social factors like poverty, influences from biological change and ignorance of the society or there were other factors behind the scene like effectiveness of the available laws in Tanzania are not much supportive. The study employed different research methodologies which had great impacts on reaching the conclusion of the study which are, documentary review, interview, questioners, and group discussion and the research employed two hypotheses which acted as the guide to the study
The study, finds that though there are different laws enacted to eradicate the problem but still education to the whole society concerning the laws relating to eradication of teen pregnancies is very low the society need to get legal education so as to be able to fight with the problem.
also despite of the most of the parents being aware that it is an offence or any person who may impregnate a school girl he may be liable for imprisonment they (parents) don’t consider as themselves having the duty to report the matter to appropriate institution instead they negotiate with an offenders that they will not report the matter if he (the offender) will fulfil some conditions this being the matter, eradication of teenage pregnancies in the country remain to be like a night mere
Finally the study recommend that there is a need for the government to enact further laws which will cut across all angles that means punishment to the parents, police officers not only to concentrate to the principle offender |
