This research report presents important issues on the Elimination of Cybercrimes by Enforcement of Related Law in Tanzania. The purpose here is basically to disseminate the reader with a careful understanding of Cyber Crimes. Cyber crime reflects a peculiar type of techno-sophisticated criminality having different features. This criminality is posing the challenges to existing penal laws in Tanzania to be sufficient but not at all in combating cyber crimes in Tanzania so the law governing Cybercrime is insufficient, especially the problem of violation of different rights i.e. right to privacy and rights to freedom of expression. The data collected through interviews, internet and library research with focus on the issue of cybercrime in Tanzania. The study will help to fill the gap between laws and cyberspace in Tanzania and bring benefits to the responsible institutions to amend our laws to meet the requirement in a life of digital technology.
Chapter one, in this chapter the main discussion bases on the introduction and historical background to the problem. It also covers the objectives of the study, the significance of the study and the research methodology which was applied during the research.
In chapter two, the focus laid down the explanation of key terms and concept which are concerning with cyber development related to the research topic.
Chapter three, the discussion is based on the general concept of legal frameworks in International level and in Municipal legal framework level. The importance gained under this chapter based on analysis of such legal frameworks so as to link them with the need of the study.
Chapter four contains the important selected data from the field which intend to prove truthfulness or otherwise of the hypothesis of the study that the law in Tanzania are no full combating Cybercrimes. There is a little legal protection to the community after taking a venture into development of ICT due to some provision which are found in the law (Cybercrime Act of 2015) which are concerned with the elimination of Cybercrimes to violate some rights which are found in the Constitution of United Republic of Tanzania of 1977.
Chapter five of this work mainly focused on laying down conclusive remarks and recommendations to be followed so as to succeed in fight against Cybercrimes.
