This study sought to investigate the factors influencing Public Organizations' intention to use e-government system services towards her customers in Tanzania. The study aimed at achieving the following specific objectives in Public organization which is to assess how perceived risk influence the intention to use e-government service, to evaluate users' awareness integrated to use e-government, to assess the social influence on e-government service, to assess influence perceived ease of use & usefulness on the adoption of e-government services. The study was conducted at NBAA.
The researcher adopted a descriptive research design using both qualitative and quantitative research models. The target population comprised of 60 NBAA staff. Judgmental sampling method was used to select the sample. The respondents include nine (9) departments which are administration, Human resource management, PMU, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, ICT, Examination, and Legal department. Data were collected through self-administered questionnaires, with the help of research assistants. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics namely multiple regression analysis through Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) and interpreted in frequencies and percentages. The results are presented in tables.
The major findings of the study about perceived risk, Awareness, Social influence, perceived ease of use &perceived usefulness revealed that these factors play a major role in E-government adoption. This is exhibited by a positive correlation that was found after a regression done on these factors concerning E-government adoption. These findings were further confirmed by a combined regression analysis done on all four factors. The researcher recommends that the government should enhance internet connectivity to enhance easy e-government adoption. The existing infrastructures should be regularly maintained to enhance availability and accessibility. Also, the study recommends the development and regular review of existing ICT policies, standards, and regulations to enable the government to keep up with the step of the requirements of e-government adoption in Tanzania |
