This work essentially examines, Appraisal of the law governing children in conflict with law in Tanzania in criminal cases. It critically analyses the law and practice on the procedure of children in conflict with the law in Tanzania. It is so far an open secret that the procedure governing the Law of Child (Juvenile Court Procedure) Rule 2016 GN 182 is clear but does not apply as it is on the cases concerning children in conflict with the Law, This Law is important to the growth and wellbeing of not only children but also of their family and the nation as a whole. In this understanding therefore the study looks into different institutions and organization laws concerning children. Which integrate such personal laws and thus be able to see what the laws offer on the protection of children in conflict with Law, not only that but also the work endeavors to see whether what is offered is sufficient or adequate to realize meaningful legal and practical protection to accommodate the current socio-economic situation. Based on findings of the research, the study makes some recommendations aimed at improving the protection and welfare of children in Tanzania.
