The right to freedom of expression has been recognized in various jurisdiction and world at large through various international and local laws as one of the fundamental and basic human right to be observed. One among the international law /instrument which recognizes this right is the International Covenant on Civil and Political right of 1966 especially under Article 19(2) African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights 1981 and Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1966, among others. |
