This is the research report on the effectiveness of the law on Preserving Right to Education to Children with Disabilities in Tanzania, which in particular analyzed whether the laws are effective or not. Despite of the various domestic and International instruments that Tanzania adhered to, still the right to Education to Persons with Disabilities being in stratum. Under this research aimed at finding out whether the laws real preserve and protects the rights of persons with disabilities especially to the compulsory right to Education (Primary School Education).
The main questions that the research addresses are to; what extent the laws are effective in governing the Right to education to the persons with disabilities? Are the laws strong enough to ensure pupils with disabilities acquire the right to education? And what are legal reasons behind poor enrollment of disabled children in primary school? The researcher employed both primary and secondary methods in data collection as documentary review, interviews and observation to collect data as to answer the research question stated above.
The findings of the research depict that despite of having number of legislations and policies still there are violations of this right to education to persons with disabilities basing on implementation and enforcement. Also discussed on how the government and the society has contributed to the problems of disabled children in general. Also, the researcher managed to interview different people who concern with disabled children and their views on the problem at hand.
On the other hand the researcher has recommended to the government to do all the best they can to ensure that all children regardless of their disability are provided with quality education. Also, the society should stop discriminating people with disability in any way because all people are equal. |
