This research report is about the factors influencing the effectiveness of stock records management in public hospital in Tanzania. The study was conducted at Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH).The main objective of this research was to assess the factors influencing the effectiveness of stock records management in public hospital in Tanzania. The research investigated on three factors that influence the effectiveness of stock records management such as personal factors, technological factors and organizational factors. The study used case design and collected primary data through questionnaire and observation methods during the study, whereby questionnaires were distributed to different departments. The sample of the study was 40 respondents drawn from each department selected. Data was finally analyzed using descriptive analysis through statistical package for social science (SPSS) software. The study realized that technological factor basing on security had the more influence towards the effectiveness of records management in public hospitals sectors. The study recommend that MNH should increase the investment on training through providing seminars on records management, worker should be adopt the technology introduced by the organization in order to support the performance of the store and whole organization and also, top management should allocate the resources in records management and if possible to establish policies which can be used to guide stores officers in record keeping.
