dc.description This research focused basically on the effectiveness of the advocate committee in Administration of justice in Tanzania, the attention was drawn on the circumstances where the complainant client has suffer financial loss as a consequence of advocates’ misconduct may be helped by AC to recover the losses he or she incurred, while the powers vested to the AC are to remove the alleged advocate’s name from the Roll, admonishing or suspending him or her for practicing for the period as it may direct. The findings from the study show that despite the AC being vested with power to direct the removal of the name of an alleged advocate from the Roll, admonishing or suspending him or her from practicing for the period as it may direct do not satisfy the aggrieved client on the recover the financial losses he or she incurred as a result of advocate misconduct. Basically the remedies are insufficient to the client. Therefore, the powers vested to the Advocates Committee and the remedies are not adequate in assist the complainant client to recover loss incurred as a consequence of the advocate’s misconduct The recommendation from the research suggest that there is need to considerably amend the Advocate Act so as to add the power of the advocate committee to hear and determine the cases arise from negligence of the advocates to their client and cause the loss to that client and remedy of the compensation has to be ordered to the advocate committee so as it will help the client who suffered economic loss, and therefore the justice will be administered
