The research work is entitled as “critical analysis on effectiveness of laws towards the increase of illegal immigrants in Tanzania, a case study at Rukwa region.” Although well known that Tanzania host for the foreigners and had international immigrants in the regions , Tanzania also host a large number of illegal immigrants or undocumented immigrants, similarly to African countries, there are illegal immigrant live in Tanzania without legal professional standing and without any documentary assistance for them to be present in the country. However Tanzania government will likely continue to make use of the border points and ports of entry and impose restrictions on the immigration laws for the immigrants who have as ones aim legally reside or enter in Tanzania without legal document. The research consist of five chapters where by chapter one explains the general introduction on the law relating to illegal immigrants and chapter two explains on the conceptual frame work on illegal immigrants, chapter three explains on the legal framework of the illegal immigrants in Tanzania and chapter four explains on how the law relating to the influx of illegal immigrants are not effective by explaining some causes on influx of illegal immigrants in Tanzania and lastly chapter five which is the conclusion and recommendations on what should be done by the government to curb the influx of illegal immigrants in Tanzania. Some recommendations are to make revision of the law relating to immigration issues, the government support on immigration matters and making better understanding on the illegal immigrants’ issues to the society
