A Dissertation Submitted In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirement for the Award of Master of Business Administration – Corporate Management (MBA-CM) Of Mzumbe UniversityThe main objective of this study was to examine the impact of unemployment on economic growth in Tanzania. The study employed a survey design and time series data between 1997 and 2017 to analyse the problem and used correlation and regression analyses to show the relationship between unemployment and economic growth in Tanzania. Findings of the study found that unemployment rate has a negative impact but insignificant influence on economic growth in Tanzania over the study period. The study suggest that the government has to take urgent steps over the unforeseen rising on the rate of unemployment because unemployment is a major impediment to social progress
