This study aimed to the asses the role of ICT in disbursement of pension payment to beneficiaries where by following this general the study analyses specific objectives by which the aspire of the study was to assess the role of ICT in database management of pension payment at NSSF’ Also the study analyses the contribution of ICT in processing of payment to beneficiaries at NSSF and describe the ICT related challenges facing NSSF in disbursing pension payment to beneficiaries.
The study was carried out in NSSF in Iringa Municipality where by primary data were collected from targeted population which was 34 staff by using closed-ended questionnaires. In this study, the researcher employed descriptive statistics, where frequencies and percentage somewhere second hand to grant personal characteristics in the form of tables and figures while in assessing the relationships between the variables used and tables to present the data.
The inferential analysis tool study revealed that NSSF staff has ability to work independently on their position towards pension payment management and are readily to tolerate difficulties, challenge and conflicts of customer or top management as well as a source of creativity and innovativeness towards pension payment management. The study also shows that ICT system used by NSSF is effective for database management, facilitate quick service, reduce system delivery, enable detection of frauds during pension payments, and facilitate easy processing of pension payment.
The study recommended that the NSSF Iringa to hire genuine and qualified staff in directive to progress the effectiveness of pension’s payments management, to utilize the available resources to ensure return on investment are higher and timely available so that the fund for pension’s payments done timely and lastly to improve the use of ICT in detecting fraud and computation of pension payment and improve management performance to encourage staff to be committed at their duty and tolerate the challenges and difficulties they encounter in performing their responsibilities.
