Rape offence is a worldwide crime that has necessitated many countries, including The United Republic of Tanzania, to establish strict measures to fight against such problem; in this regard SOSPA No. 4 of 1998 was enacted. This research provides a critical analysis of the magnitude on the enforcement of thirty years imprisonment as made in the Sexual Offences Special Provision Act (SOSPA) in Tanzania. The objective of this research proposal is to establish the magnitude of rape against women by identify effectiveness of the law that it produce intended results in issuing protection against women. This research encompass four chapters in which each chapter carry its own significant, thatchapter one is an introductory part which contain background of the research, statement of the problem ,objective, significant, the hypothesis, methodology employed to conduct the research Then, chapter two of this research is discusses about historical background of sexual offence in Tanzania and other related concepts. Chapter three carries the legal frame work of sexual offence and chapter four is all about research findings that is the outcomes of the research project.Lastly, in chapter four which will be on recommendations and conclusions in relations to the findings observed through the research has been involved by visiting court searching for direct information from Magistrate. Following the evaluation of data collected, the research recommended on possible solutions that could make protection women in Tanzania |
