This study focused on assessing the effect of restructuring of social security fund in Tanzania with experience from NSSF Dodoma. The main objective of this research were; to examine customer satisfaction on the service provided by social security fund, to determine the benefits added and reduced after restructuring and to identify challenges facing organization providing services therefore attempted to find out consequences to the organization after restructuring of social security fund.
The study employed a case study design to answer the research objectives in which both primary and secondary data collection techniques were used including interview and questionnaires. The sample consisted of 60 respondents from the targeted population of 139, one executive director and 4 other from other head of department.
The findings of the study showed that lack of awareness on the services provided by social security fund lead into the reformulation of social security fund in order to solve out the issues of having much social security and bring out awareness without confusion. The effects associated with restructuring included delay in service delivery, formulation of unfriendly laws.
Based on the findings the study recommended that the pensions funds; NSSF and PSSSF should provide enough education to incoming members and the society at large so as they can know the importance of being a member of pension fund. This will attract more customers and the organization will perform to their fullest potential.
