dc.description Any active development-oriented organization recognizes that individuals job performance is a significant feature of the management functions in a speedily changing economic and social working environment. The purpose of this was to study assess the factors influencing individual job performance in an organization, a case of NSSF Mbeya. The specific objectives were to determine the influence of wages in individual performance and to examine the influence of training and development. The study involved case study design; the population of the study involved 22 respondents from NSSF in which a sample size of 20 employees was selected which were employees from the organization. Primary data was collected by the researcher through the use of questionnaires method of data collection. Purposive sampling was used to sample employees. Quantitative techniques were used in data analysis. The findings indicated that employees believed that the salaries including with their benefits obtainable from NSSF had an influence on their level of individual job performance, then employees generally agreed that if they are given good salaries and bonuses plus their remuneration being paid on time, their performance at the organization is positively impacted. Also, the study found that NSSF provide training to its employees as agree by employees, as well the training and development was visibly linked planned path of the organization objectives. Also, individuals at NSSF were inspired to take the initiative in determining their own career development and encouraged to acquire new skill and cross train from others so as to perform well job assigned. Then, the study recommends that NSSF should prioritize and put their concentration more on those training and development, also remuneration packages inspirations that will satisfy their employees highly and increase their performance.
