The study aimed to assess the influence working environment on employee’s performance and productivity, a case of Public Service Social Security Funds (PSSSF) Customs in Morogoro Region. Based to investigate whether physical work environment has influence on employee’s performance PSSSF Customs, to examine whether supervisor support contribute towards employees’ performance PSSSF Customs to explore the relationship between employees’ performance and their work environment in PSSSF Customs. For the purpose of this study was used descriptive research design which is case study (single case study). Also, data was collected through primary and secondary data methods such as questionnaires, observations, and documentary review and the researcher used simple random sampling technique to select the respondents for the study. Therefore, the study involves the population of forty (40) staffs, were the sample target was twenty (20) respondents which includes One 1 Manager of PSSSF, five (5) Head of Department, and Forty (14) Staff members. Hence the study can be analyzed by quantitative and qualitative data analysis also the findings can be presented in frequency and percentage with the help software of statistical package of social science (SPSS), version 16. The study discovered that employees was developed their performance and productivity if the limitation was identified and solved immediately by the management. For example, work noise distraction, supervisor’s interpersonal relationship with subordinates presence of job aid, the use of performance feedback and improve of work incentives in the organization so that to motivate employees to perform their job. Generally based on findings the study recommended that, the organization needs to have periodic meetings with employees to hear their complain to management and serve as motivation factor to the employees. Management should find a good way to communicate with their employees to reach goals and organization strategies in order to archive what the organization is in business for its mission, vision and objectives.
