dc.description The general objectives of this study were to examine the effects of teamwork on employee’s performance in public organization at Tanzania Electric Supply Company Ltd (TANESCO) MBEYA. Teamwork is the group of people who are working together to accomplish a certain work or tasks. The study sought to identify the types of teamwork at TANESCO, to identify the effects of teamwork on employees performance, to examine the importance of teamwork and the lastly to identify the challenges in formulating teamwork. The study was descriptive where both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis the method were used. The case study design was chosen and the data collection methods instituted includes questionnaire, observation and documentary review. 30 employees out of 43 of 43 of the whole population were taken as sample. The finding revealed that the high rate of satisfaction of the staff was satisfied with the effects of teamwork seems to be important on improving employees performance in the light of the study there was also challenges in formulating teamwork at TANESCO Mbeya. Basing on the recommendation of Tanzania Electric Supply Company Ltd, management should improves communication with their subordinates, setting clear rules and regulation of the organization, so as to improve employees performance and to increase productivity to the organization further research area been indicate in the study and employees should add extra effort to work as team like best employee performer award depend on the individual efforts invested toward improving performance of the employees to the organization. Area of further study other researcher should try to study on how teamwork can affect the employees performance to the organization and strategies which imposed to the government organization to make employees aware about the teamwork.
