The study aimed to assess working environment and its effect on employee’s performance and productivity, a case of NHIF Mbeya Based to investigate physical work environment has influence on employee’s performance to service provision, to assess the role of working structure on performance of Employees
To identify factors influencing the employees’ performance in NHIF Mbeya. For the purpose of this study was used descriptive research design which is case study (single case study). Also, data was collected through primary and secondary data methods such as questionnaires, observations, and researcher used purposive sampling technique to select the respondents for the study. Therefore the study involves the population of forty (20) staffs, were the sample target was (19) obtained by using Morgan Krejcie table respondents which includes t(9)claim officers, (6) membership officer (4) accountant department
Hence the study can be analyzed by quantitative and qualitative data analysis also the findings can be presented in frequency and percentage with the help software of statistical package of social science (SPSS), version 16.
The study discovered that if employees were developed, their performance and productivity improve and if the limitation were identified and solved immediately by the management. For example, supervisor’s interpersonal relationship with subordinate’s presence of job aid, issue of physical work environment, the use of performance feedback and improve of work incentives in the organization so that to motivate employees to perform their job.
Generally based on findings the study recommended that, Organization should ensure that there are good working environment for their employee’s performance, this can be a great factor to motivate and retain them at workplace as result of good performance of organization and increase productivity which hence organization to archive their objectives and to meet their vision which targeted during specific time |
