The study aimed at assessing the factors influencing financial performance of an organization. Specifically, it assessed the influence of cash flow on financial performance of an organization, the influence of liquidity on financial performance of an organization, influence of an organization`s size on financial performance of an organization, to assess ways for an organization to improve financial performance. The case study was employed during the study with the sample size of 50. Probability sampling technique was used including simple random sampling and non- probability sampling techniques were used including purposively. This study is a quantitative research and data used were both secondary data from audited financial statements and primary data from questionnaires.
This data covers the measurements of financial performance of 16 organization branch which were under TANROADS for the period of five years from 2010 to 2014 this because current information within current five years 2014 to 2018 were only for office use, so the data which were available were from 2010 up to 2014. The financial performance is measured by Return on Asset (ROA). To obtain the results of the study, the statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was used which consisted of descriptive analysis.
The implications of this study can guide organization in making decision making in selecting TANROADS policies and government policies in developing the roads sector particularly development of roads in country. Key words: financial performance, size, liquidity, and top management support Cash.
It was recommended that the top management have a role to cooperate with other boards, companies or firms in conducting training seminars for employees for the purpose of increasing skills and efficiencies to work which later result to high performance of an organization.
