dc.description The Child Act no. 21 of 2009 R;E 2019 provides for the duties and responsibility of the social welfare officer to administer the rights of the child in the court of law. The responsibility of social welfare officer to administer the rights of the child has been govern through different laws, at national, regional and international levels together with different text books and websites. The research aims to make Determination of children rights by the court‟s analysis of the roles played by social welfare officers in Tanzania as it is the main objective of the research title. The research was conducted at Mbeya Region within District of Mbeya at City office of the Director in the Department of social welfare office. The researcher applied both primary and secondary method of data collection in answering the research questions for the purpose of having a definite way of extracting data, Questionnaire and interview were clearly conducted to support clear data collection. Sampling techniques was applied to the selected stake-holders through interview and it was successfully to the researcher to get useful information. Various government and non government social welfare officers were the respondent to the questions imposed, also interview was conducted among court officers, on the best of researcher towards to the research title. The report contains five chapters, whereby, chapter one is about proposal, chapter two, conceptual frame work of social welfare officers in Tanzania. Chapter three is about legal frame work on the laws govern the social welfare officers at national, regional and international level. Chapter four is research findings and data analysis on the law governs the responsibility of social welfare officers. Chapter five is conclusion and recommendation. Hereby, the research will be significant to improve law governing the responsibility of social welfare officers in court when administering rights of the children in Tanzania so as to reach the standard of social welfare service and adequate employees of social works comply with the child needs to protect child rights within the justice system in Tanzania.
