The subject matter of this research based on the enforcement of industrial waste management law in Tanzania. Therefore Tanzania seeks to look at how to solve the problem waste management in industrial sectors so as to reduce waste pollution according to the extent of either the damage done to nature and environment or the exceeding of an acceptable level or standard of pollution. Tanzania is faced with massive ecological degradation and very poor local industrial waste management. This is due to poor policy framework, implementation and enforcement of existing environmental laws, together with public officials with no political will and commitment to protect the harm caused by man activities in environment. However the researcher employed two researcher techniques, library research and field research so as to achieve the best knowledge. In library research materials were gathered from legislations, policy documents and magazines, articles, textbooks, and case laws. In field research the tools employed includes; interviews and face to face interviews. The research conducted revealed that a public official has no political will and commitment rather they give priority to their private interest. The research further reveals that there is lack of effective and comprehensive legal and institution framework, low public awareness on environment management and the government put little efforts in funding environmental projects. However the research reveals that poverty and corruption are among reasons contribute to poor enforcement and implementation of environmental protection laws and policies as the result the harm to the environment increased. Therefore, this paper organized and arranged in five chapters as follows; chapter one cover the general introduction which has been covered in this proposal. This part includes historical background, Statement of the problem/ literature review, significant and objective of the research, hypothesis and research methodology |
