The research assessed the consequence of digital banking on financial inclusion in Tanzania.
The research was guided by three hypotheses which were limited bank coverage, limited bank
customers and limited technology which were considered as determinants of financial inclusion
as the dependent variable. Explanatory study design was used and functional in the research
which substitute the gaining of key data for the research. Key data were used to ensure the
generation of main data to fill the study gap. Main data were collected by means of
questionnaires which taken the new information applicable for the study to fill the breach. The
data were computed through the SPSS package however they were obtainable and evaluated by
means of mean and standard deviation, then by way of correlation and multiple regression
analysis to describe the relationship between independent variables on the dependent variable.
Results were strong that completely three independent variables namely limited bank coverage,
limited bank customers and limited technology were found positive and statistically significant
on the dependent variable. The implication of the findings stands that financial inclusion using
digital banking is largely affected by limited bank coverage, limited bank customers and limited
technology. The study further recommend that commercial banks must design means to assure
effective communication to large segments and applications that favour usage to the customers
of different categories as per the country’s reality on the population composition. |
