This dissertation focused on assessing the contribution of compensation management in
organizational performance. The study was undertaken at the Halotel Tanzania.
Specifically, the study on the contribution of compensation management on
organizational performance sought to identify the extent of compensation management
to institutional outperforming. Provision of employees’ incentives and their contribution
to organizational performance and examining how wage and salary policies motivate
employees and employees’ productivity in the organization. The study used primary and
secondary method in collecting information. Data collected were analyzed by using
quantitative statistical techniques and presented in percentage and frequency distribution
table. Furth more qualitative data analysis was conducted where the collected
information was edited and presented using direct quotation. The study applied
purposive sampling and snowball sampling technique to sample 90 respondents.
Questionnaire, interview and Focused group discussion research tools were used to
collect data. Within the study, the research findings obtained from the questionnaire; and
the interviews are analyzed and interpreted. The extracts of the thesis gives out good
compensation management as results of high organizational performance and bad
compensation management as results of poor organization performance Based on
finding of the study several recommendations has been developed in order to improve
organizational performance including organization investment on compensation,
compensation policy and compensation management, creative compensation plan,
involvement of employees in matters related to compensation and the use of various
incentives to motivate employees
