This study investigates the effects of employee satisfaction on the organization
development at Tanga Fresh Company in Tanga District in Tanga region.
In conducting this research, the main objective of this study is to investigate the
effects of employee satisfaction on the organization development and suggest the
ways for improving employee satisfaction.
In this study the population consisted of 30 employees from Tanga Fresh Company.
The researcher selected the respondents through random sampling and used
questionnaires and observation to obtain data from the respondents. The data
collected were analyzed by SPSS software program where tables were used to
present the results obtained. The empirical studies suggest that employee satisfaction
is an important consideration for managers to boost quality services and retain
customers which leads to organization development.
The findings show that recognition and rewards, career development,
communication, good salary, age, sex and level of education are among the factors
which influence employee satisfaction in the organization. Organizational growth
depends much on the employee satisfaction. The human resource managers should
design their rules, pay norms, policies and organizational structure in the way that it
gives chance to the employee to do their work very well. Also they should appreciate
their employees on their tasks fulfillment and achievements.
Finally the researcher recommends that the management should encourage good
relationship among employees because team work has a positive effect on achieving
the individual and organizational goals and objectives. Employers should encourage
and support their employees for higher studies, and organize training programs in
order to update their knowledge and acquire new ideas concerned with their job.
