The findings from the study indicate existence of the following: weakness on the substantive part of the law such as non-establishment of effective institutions to deal with environmental protection, provision of weak punishments to polluters and lack of awareness by the society on the question of environmental protection which have increased this problem in Tanzania. Lastly, the researcher gave recommendations on what should be done to increase environmental protection in Tanzania.
