KIFISACCOS case study
This case gives some insight into the challenges that a rural community faces with regard to access to financial institutions. Interviews and discussions were held with the members of the community-based Kibaigwa Financial Services and Credit Cooperative society (KIFISACCOS). These results were combined with an institutional review of the co-operative. It was concluded that improved financial management and more tailored lending services would improve rural community livelihood.
