Good organization should run a business by considering social responsibility this
includes everything from hiring monitoring workers to make safe production ,
minimizing pollution, using energy wisely, and providing a safe work environment
that is everything that has to do with acting responsibility within society .
The study was conducted at Tanzania Portland cement company in two ward
Bunju and Wazo. The area was chosen because there are company with
stakeholders actually community around the company and also there environment
polluted by company activities. The objective of the study is to examine the
role of organization in ensuring corporate social responsibilities.
The study used both primary and secondary data. The target unity of study was
stakeholders of Tanzania Portland cement Company which employees,
customers, community and managers. The study was targeting a sample of 50
respondents in order to have better representation. Data collection methods and
tools were questionnaires, Interview documentation and observation.
Researcher found that there are environment pollution like air pollution and
noise pollution caused by dust and uses of dynamite when they finding the
some material . Also there are chemical water which released from TPCC to
the community which lead floods, and skin diseases. Not only that but also
researcher found that TPCC real owner of Chasimba village.
TPCC should find the way to keep environment free from any pollution and
also to use new technology of preserving that chemical water this they cannot
affect community around the company.
From the finding the study conclude that although TPCC provide donation to
different Social activities also should protect and improve the welfare of the
Society as a whole along with their own interests . |
