dc.description The study on effectiveness of training programs towards organization work performance at PPF Pensions Fund (PPF) – head office. The objectives of the study are; to examine the effects of training programs to employees’ performance; to find out relationship between productivity and employees training; to investigate on the challenges facing Organization’s management in implementing employees’ training programs and to suggest appropriate strategies towards the employees training and practices that would help to increase their performances. A sample of 130 respondents is use questionnaires and in-depth interview to collect data. The study employs a variety of data collection methods. The studies compose of both primary data collected from the different questionnaires and interviews and secondary data obtain from a wide variety of documents which is accessible for the researcher. The study found that 75% of the respondents agreed that training and development do increase employee knowledge, 15% were neutral and 10% disagreed. Moreover, out of 107 respondents 82.3% feel motivated by the training programs while 23 of the remaining respondents representing 17.7% do not feel motivated by the training. The study concluded that effectiveness of training is a major factor influencing the improvement of organization work performance. Furthermore, it is concluded that training policy is a foremost aspect impede effective training programs to PPF employees. The study recommended that Human Resources Personnel should consider the importance of training and development that will help in setting policies and will promote training and acquiring of new skills time to time. It is also recommended that training programs should be linked with employee’s promotions so that these programs help increase employee motivation which ultimately results in high performance. Furthermore, the study recommended that employees should be clearly communicated about the potential benefits of training programs so that they can participate whole heartedly.
