dc.description This study assessed teachers’ digital literacy towardsthe integration of ICT in secondary schools. Three research objectives were addressed on this study, namely the usefulness of ICT in school, the teachers’ digital competency toward ICT integration in school, and (iii) the challenges facing teachers towards the integration of ICT facilities in school. The mixed-method approach was adopted to generate both qualitative and quantitative information through sequential design. Simple random and purposive sampling techniques were employed to collect information from 100 teachers of secondary school in Dodoma City.Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and documentary review. IBM-SPSS version 25 was used to analyze data descriptively to develop frequencies, mean and percentages. The analysis revealed that 43.3% of respondents mentioned teaching and learning activities as the major use of ICT in secondary education, which means the major idea of establishing and involving ICT in secondary education, is for teaching and learning to teachers and students.Also,64.3% of respondentswere trained on ICT training while the other 35.7% did not have ICT training. Moreover, 54.8% and 35.7% of respondents indicated scarcity of ICT materials and network problem as one among of the major challenges that faces teachers towards the integration of ICT facilities in secondary schools. Thus, the study recommends that the government as the attainable agency through the ministry of education, science and technology should support secondary schools in ICT materials like CPU, desktops, projectors, printers, computer, and labs to accommodate all teachers, and students averagely.
